Ah, not much mate, basically I was at the front of a set of lights on red. The road went straight on and had a left turn as well (a T-Junction if you were coming from that left road). The lights went green, but the exit was blocked. The car behind beeped his horn. As I looked in the mirror he started pointing that he wanted to go down the road to the left and wanted me to pull forward. If I'd done that it would have left me stranded in the middle of the junction with nowhere to go.
I shrugged my shoulders.
He blasted his horn again, a little longer this time, shaking his head and moving closer to my car.
So I flipped him off and put the brake lights on.
The lights go red. I'm ready to get out at this point but obviously the missus doesn't want me to do that.
The lights go green again but I still can't go.
Finally the traffic ahead starts to move, so off I go, obviously slowly as the traffic is moving off from a standstill.
As he turns off to the left he blasts his horn for FAR longer than is necessary to get the message across that he is displeased with me.
The only thing that stopped me from slamming the brakes on and zipping round to follow him and have a small discussion was the missus in the car with me. No, I know it wouldn't have done any good. I've confronted people in the past who have pissed me off and I ended up more annoyed than if I hadn't said anything. It just f***s me off that people think they can bully their way around the roads because they are in their own car.
He had his elderly mother in the passenger seat FFS.
I know, I know, even if we had have conversed he wouldn't have changed his opinion. But trying to bully your way through to save 60 seconds? Makes me want to punch something.
Told you, wasn't much really.
Still annoyed though!
