ordered a replacement set of brake discs. The old ones have got loads of life in them but these came up at a good price, OEM from a road bike turned into a race bike. If I'm doing track days and a euro adventure I'll need to replace them at some point so snapped them up.

Ordered some bar end brake guards for the track bike so I totally look like one of those "all the gear, no idea" kind of tossers (giggle)

Washed the bike again... this is turning into a habit! Gone from not washing it once in 6 months to washing it weekly!!

My old dentist was a wannabe copper, he was definitely an idiot and ended up being a Special, just to complete the mental picture he rode a Beemer with the Hi vis looky-likey jacket and a white lid. (facepalm)

I had to google what you were talking about. I'm not opposed to high vest jackets/bibs but I agree with you, they seem like a blatant take off of a copper vest even if legally they have been cleared to use ( which they have I found).

No self respecting sports bike rider would be seen in one of those!

FINALLY!!! Got a day to work on the triumph. Combination of wife and kids out for the day and pouring rain so couldn't do any of the yard work I had planned.

So I managed to cut out the stand-off's for the rear seat lock mechanism from the wrecked fairing and epoxy/fibreglassed them into the AirTech fibreglass rear (they make them with out them :|, even though they have the recess for the lock.)
Pretty happy with how it went and now only a couple more hours work and I can send the fairings off to get painted!!

Well done Fireblade that's great [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

I went on an observed ride and got mainly 2s. Did around 65ish miles and thoroughly enjoyed every mile of them. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH] however now need to get more miles racked up

It was mate, you would enjoy it, a few guys now coming seem to be from TVAM as well, judging by the little advanced stickers on the bikes...so the riding is of a decent standard, well except me who finds the front wheel going skyward every so often ha ha ;) frowns and laughs in equal measure no doubt !

Left it at home today. The weather reports said it was going to be really windy but it's not been too bad.

I must have had it all instead, my bike tent has been blown over again. Image

You'd think a bike chain, a corkscrew ground anchor and two sandbags full of stones would keep it down.
Sadly no. The ground anchor is the only thing that's stopped it from departing the area at high speed!

And it's torn.

Arse!

Still, the saving grace is that my bike is still tucked up nice and safe in my mate's garage. If it had been in there I think the guy who tried to have a road rage incident with me today would have been searching for his car keys in his intestines. Along with his teeth.

I'm having a brew now, so all is calm. Almost Zen-like.

Ah, not much mate, basically I was at the front of a set of lights on red. The road went straight on and had a left turn as well (a T-Junction if you were coming from that left road). The lights went green, but the exit was blocked. The car behind beeped his horn. As I looked in the mirror he started pointing that he wanted to go down the road to the left and wanted me to pull forward. If I'd done that it would have left me stranded in the middle of the junction with nowhere to go.
I shrugged my shoulders.
He blasted his horn again, a little longer this time, shaking his head and moving closer to my car.

So I flipped him off and put the brake lights on.

The lights go red. I'm ready to get out at this point but obviously the missus doesn't want me to do that.

The lights go green again but I still can't go.

Finally the traffic ahead starts to move, so off I go, obviously slowly as the traffic is moving off from a standstill.
As he turns off to the left he blasts his horn for FAR longer than is necessary to get the message across that he is displeased with me.

The only thing that stopped me from slamming the brakes on and zipping round to follow him and have a small discussion was the missus in the car with me. No, I know it wouldn't have done any good. I've confronted people in the past who have pissed me off and I ended up more annoyed than if I hadn't said anything. It just f***s me off that people think they can bully their way around the roads because they are in their own car.
He had his elderly mother in the passenger seat FFS.

I know, I know, even if we had have conversed he wouldn't have changed his opinion. But trying to bully your way through to save 60 seconds? Makes me want to punch something.

Told you, wasn't much really.

Still annoyed though! (gah)
