It's renewal time. Bikesure have actually come in cheaper than last year - £366.

I'm going to see if I can get it reduced. We're moving offices to a place next to Birmingham airport, so I'm taking commuting off the policy.

The current office is 40 miles away, the new one is 18.

It's not so much the distance but the frequency. Commuting on the bike made sense when I was doing it every day. Now I'm only going in about 8 times a year and we've got 3 cars there's little point in going to work on the bike.

I'm never going I to get a quote like that. There's got to be a marker on my account. I'm in my 50s, bikes have security and are garaged, I've got full no claims, advanced riders qualification,. I tick all the boxes for cheap insurance.

Maybe it's just them using market forces strategy mate.: Charging what the market can afford to pay.? ;)

It surprised me how little adding commuting to the MV policy cost.
