Re: Jack's Updates
Just sad
But I think after chatting at Lucy's I am 100% certain he is so much happier now in his new place, no more pain, no more feeling like crap.
Rest In Peace mate, it was a pleasure to know you.

Re: Jack's Updates
Very upsetting to read this. Jack was a true gentleman, and is a true loss to all those whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Jack.

Rest in peace, Jack.

Re: Jack's Updates
We've been asked if Tankslap wants to lead the funeral cortege from Jack's house to the funeral. I'm more than happy to do so (I'm moved and honoured to be honest).
Shall we do this for Jack? I've got a TS hoodie or fleece I can wear.
Someone will have to bring a sat nav, I've not got one and I don't know the route.

That's a fantastic honour. I hope you boys give him a good send off, I sadly can't get the time off so will have to be there in spirit.

Yes I'd be up for that. I've got a hoodie somewhere.Kwacky wrote:We've been asked if Tankslap wants to lead the funeral cortege from Jack's house to the funeral. I'm more than happy to do so (I'm moved and honoured to be honest).

I can't trust that I can get the satnav working, but I might have a phone case somewhere. I'll have a look later.

Re: Jack's Updates
Simon has said it's a decent drive from Jack's house to Nuneaton Crematorium. It's 15 minutes according to Google maps, but that's driving normal speed and not in rush hour traffic. It probably makes sense to meet the funeral procession en route so we can do the last mile or so?
What do you reckon?

Re: Jack's Updates
Part of me says, I'm already riding 2 hours to get there does a bit more make any difference... But then 180 bhp in traffic gets very tedious.
I think enroute would be a good option.

Re: Jack's Updates
I’m in whatever we decide.
I did think about meeting up at Triumph cafe beforehand but it’s closed in a Monday.

Re: Jack's Updates
I'll ask Simon if the funeral directors want to suggest a place for us to meet the hearse.

Re: Jack's Updates
Maybe we could lead the procession from Jack’s house, let the head car take over then we could lead the last mile into the crematorium if the family are happy with that.
Be nice to see him off from his home.
