Re: Work
To be honest it's been good overall. And they installed Microsoft teams should I need a v. C. With someone. Wish I could work from home all the time. But they don't trust you

Re: Work
I still **** hate it and today is reminding me why. I've been on furlough but now I'm getting stick for work that's not been done by me while I was away
My request for holiday for the trackday has been turned down because I'm the only one who can work that day.
The job market is still dead.
Drinking bleach is looking very appealing at present.

Re: Work
I had 7 in my team before all this.
3 were made redundant.
1 is on paternity leave
1 was on holiday this week
and 1 has been moved 50/50 to another team.
So this week there is just me. Good stuff. And we are surpassing our budget that was in place before the pandemic. So no reduction in work load.
When I'm at home I save 2.5hrs from commuting so have more time to potentially work. But they now want us back in the office. SO i am just telling them straight they will get less out of me in the office.

Otherwise is there any money in exotic animals? You seem to know your stuff and are into it.

Are there any other areas of the law you could retrain or study on your furlough day?Kwacky wrote:Unfortunately the only thing I know outside of my current job is motorbikes and wages for that are crap.
If not then it might have to be prostitution sadly.

There's no money in exotic animals unless you're doing it on an industrial scale.
Moving to other areas of law is possible but the lack of experience means I'm putting myself up against people with much loyw salary expectations.

I've not got insurance services qualifications. I have looked at moving across to insurance.

Re: Work
I've applied for an internal vacancy. Technically it's in our Southampton office but we all work remotely now. They are in need for someone to step in and take over a few files for an important client. I've worked for that client for over 12 years so they know me. On paper it looks like I'm a good fit. But this is my place of work so lord knows what is going to happen.
