Re: Tiger 660
If it's a 660cc,, will that simply be another adapted version of the (my) "old faithful" 675 engine.? -This time with perhaps a slightly shorter stroke, rather than the 90cc of bigger bore.

Essentially, yes. I presume it's the same as the Trident engine and that's the old 675 Daytona engine with a shorter stroke.StMarks wrote:If it's a 660cc,, will that simply be another adapted version of the (my) "old faithful" 675 engine.? -This time with perhaps a slightly shorter stroke, rather than the 90cc of bigger bore.

Re: Tiger 660
I’ve never really understood why Triumph have not made this bike but with the 765 engine. It would make a cracking sports tourer.
80bhp leaves it a bit short for a distance tourer.

Re: Tiger 660
Apparently it has 81hp, and a "smooth, linear power delivery"
It looks practical & sensible.

They've got the bigger Tigers for that. This will be their budget version.duke63 wrote:I’ve never really understood why Triumph have not made this bike but with the 765 engine. It would make a cracking sports tourer.
