I've no idea what I want and I've no idea what to get my wife.
I've saved money by not going into work, so I've been buying what I need as I go along.
I've asked my wife what she wants and I get a shrug.
I can't even buy her the usual spa day as she's not been able to use the one I bought her last Christmas.

Re: Christmas presents
I find it so difficult to buy people aged 40-60 presents... everyone has everything they want by this age.

Re: Christmas presents
We dont buy each other presents . The only presents we buy these days are for younger children in the family and some money for the kids.
There is frankly no point these days.

Re: Christmas presents
Same. We stopped buying present just after we had kids, it gets really expensive buying for 8 adults but then you add kids into the mix.C00kiemonster wrote:We dont buy each other presents . The only presents we buy these days are for younger children in the family and some money for the kids.

Now we just email each other a list of things the kids want, and also we keep to a tough budget per child.

Re: Christmas presents
I’ve bought all the kids stuff online while I’ve been away. Jess has literally run out of room to store stuff
In my defence there is 4 kids to buy for in the house now.
As for Jess and I, we bought a selection of good gins and as we have 4 days kid free between Boxing Day and NY’s )with them at their other parents) we’ve booked 4 nights away up in Newcastle as our Christmas present to each other. It’s going to be awesome after 6 weeks away.
