Qualifying time cancelled. Amazed anyone would try such a stunt in this day and age.

I do wonder if it was an oversight/mistake from a support crew member rather than a deliberate attempt at cheating? Pretty light on details in that article and I would hope someone of his caliber wouldn’t consciously try pulling a swiftly.

Honda issued a short statement on its Twitter feed on Wednesday, explaining left over fuel from a test "contaminated" the race fuel used on Tuesday, while adding the issue had not affected Hutchinson's team-mate David Johnson.

"Unfortunately there was pump fuel left over from testing in the tank of Ian's bike, which contaminated the race fuel in yesterday's practice," the explanation read.

"There was no issue with the fuel in Davo's bike. We apologise to Ian and look ahead to getting back out on track tomorrow."

I would of thought something like that would happen too kiwi, someone defo in the pits will be paying for this mistake. Plus he's a racer, he wants to earn what he gets not cheat to get it.
