Ruroc helmets
On my Facebook feed I've noticed a couple of my friends have liked the brand Ruroc. I've never heard of them before, just wondered if anyone else had...

The friends that have liked it are of a younger generation, but I'm thinking that I like them as well. Especially the one that comes in the same colour as my bike.

Re: Ruroc helmets
Seems they have grown from a winter sports helmet company. New to motorcycles.

Fwiw they haven't got the greatest rep' in the winter-sports fraternity.
I've never even worn one myself (my own snow lid is a Giro) but apparently they are considered "big-time kook identifiers" ??

Well according to Google a kook is a mad or eccentric person, so one has to assume that a big time kook identifier is not a Bjork single, but that people who wear them are considered mentalists.
Or knob heads.
It does look a little hooligan-ish.

A "kook" is someone who's a little 'off'- but not usually in an unpleasant way. Just a little bit goofy, geeky, dorky, etc.
Those helmets look dope, brah.

Re: Ruroc helmets
Based on what I have seen on their website, I will be very surprised if they get through the EC22/05 accrediation for the UK which as you know is required before they can go on sale here.
It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

I've got to be honest, I know much less about helmet safety than I should. Going by the mantra that "big names above £200 will see me right" probably isn't the best way to go about things.
