999 cafe racer
It looks like the 999 isn’t going to sell, and I’ve only had stupid offers. Now I have always fancied a bit of a cafe racer so thinking along these lines to something with it a bit one off
What do you think ?

Re: 999 cafe racer
First one is let down by the stock-&-stripped headlight unit. The seating arrangement doesn't instill confidence.....could use the tail-end & seat from the bike Kwacky posted.
Other than that it would be great for a ride out to a cafe.
A cafe close to home.

IMO, the first pic looks a little like "I crashed my bike and can't afford another one so here are the bits that where left".

Re: 999 cafe racer
So you all love it then
It won’t look exactly like that but I like the naked headlight housing and the rear seat so we’ll see. I will keep the carbon belt covers so it won’t look as bad as this one

Re: 999 cafe racer

This is one of the better ones i have seen but the deep sump motor on the 999 bikes make its difficult to make it look good.

Re: 999 cafe racer
This one however is even better...and used as originally intended.

Re: 999 cafe racer
Well that is a cracking re build , but I have to say a bit more exotic that what I have in mind. And what looks like a whole pot of money chucked at it.

Re: 999 cafe racer
I'd didn't realise they were at the Bikeshed Duke.
I've booked a table there in a few weeks as we are going down London for the weekend so I'll grab some photos.

Re: 999 cafe racer
I went there last year when i went to visit my brother.
Food is really good and its a decent place to visit...and there are bikes.

Re: 999 cafe racer
Well the cafe racer conversion will have to wait, after speaking to rich at Louigimoto the cost will be a lot more than I bargained for !!
So just gonna get her some new fairings for now, the cafe racer thing will happen just not yet
