How many Superbike riders have actually made a successful transition to MotoGP ?

Colin Edwards has had probably the longest and arguably the most successful Motogp career after transitioning from WSBK , even though he never won a race . Bayliss won a race but didn't really have much of a motogp career apart from that , Spies showed promise , won a race but was ultimately disappointing . Considering the fact that many MotoGP riders have gone on to be successful WSBK riders and champions I think it is safe to infer that MotoGP is indeed a level above WSBK in terms of the level of talent , dedication , determination , etc etc .

Superbike is based on bikes already in existence. GP bikes point the way to what will be the next generation of bikes.
Which the Superbike guys will then ride.

Rea is having a big whinge about the fact he Ducati is a more expensive bike. Didn't hear him moaning much when Kawasaki was the only factory team on the grid.

Lowes tweeted today that now Rea knows how everyone else has felt for the last few years.

What a dick. He has had the most dominate package for the last 4 year's and can't take the competition. Sounds like sour grapes to me as he is not getting it all his own way anymore.

Never been a huge fan of JR tbh, but still surprised to hear him moaning and expect better.

He seems to forget that he beat all the other V4s. Just maybe he has come up against a better rider for a change.

So I’ve never bothered to follow the WSBK races to much as normally my life is that hectic that I struggle to keep up even with the MotoGP, though I do maintain a MotoGP VideoPass subscription.

But since I’m home till at least June now, I’ve got plenty of time to keep up with both.

My only real option here in Aussie is a WSBK VideoPass at €70/AU$110. Is the racing worth it you think?? It’s not on Freeview TV and I can’t warrant a full PayTV subscription just for a few bike races.

I’ve scoured for less than legimate downloading or streaming sources but came up dry.

Anyone got a better idea or is VideoPass the best option?

I pay for a tv package kiwi and like your scenario mainly only have it for bike racing as all other tv viewing tends to be freeview channels or Netflix, Amazon Prime.

I thought about cancelling the virgin TV but tbh I can't get broadband and phone for much cheaper. The TV is almost free when packaged with broadband and phone. Maybe try a few packages to compare overall costs. In my experience it's not as expensive as you may think especially if you get an introductory deal.

Hard to say if racing is worth it at this stage after one weekend of racing. Previous seasons haven't been imo but their is some evidence to suggest that is about to change for the season ahead.

The pay TV packages in Aussie are pretty poorly prices for what you get. And to include the Motorsport channels it is an even higher tier. Be looking at about $60/month. When you consider I’m not even home to watch it 40% of the time and like yourself when I am I already pay for Netflix and prime. I can get it slightly cheaper because Jess works for my teleco and I can get a staff deal but still not economical for me.

But a solution has come to hand since my post that works very well
