Actually Duke, that's exactly what put's me off treating myself to something exotic.
I simply couldn't carve my way through the traffic (like I did today) or hoon round a racetrack with the same happy abandon if I was that precious about my bike.

A dutch Ducati dealer. First ones just being delivered.
st Marks, if we could afford something like that i doubt we would be thinking about commuting on it. But using it on a racetrack is what its made for.

It's just a shame it will probably be destined for collection in a garage somewhere, to spend it's life under a dust sheet...

The guys on the Ducatiforum who have ordered them are adamant they will be used as intended.
There are a few who have Desmosedicis and they get used on track.
I can never quite see how bikes are a good investment but i guess its each to their own. Desmosedicis sell for a little less than they cost new 7 years ago.

I'd like to have a house big enough to hang it on the wall
It's a work of art could just look at it and be happy .
