Off roading / Trails

Hiya chaps..

Anyone into trail riding off roading? Just wondering if there are 'free public off road bike routes' that you can just rock up and ride. No club member or fees.

I am guessing these will be shared with pedestrians/horse riders and cyclists...

Are these very few here in the UK?

Any ideas or info welcome

The Throttle Monkey's site has an off road section. No idea how busy that section is as I never use it
