Duffy on an MV and yes he cleared it. Landed level with the muddy puddle but in the middle of the road!

I think I landed by the puddle but it certainly wasn't towards the center of the road.

Re: Itchy's Leap claims another survivor!
Well lads - was a complete brown trouser moment at the end of 3 superb days riding with Rob in the Peaks. Had been hanging back in our group of 6 but then was trying to catch up with the front markers. Wasn't aware that itchy's leap a) existed b) was so steep c) should be taken with caution at 30mph not so much at the speed I hit it. All I really remember is getting airborne, landing with a massive jolt of the bars, rescuing it (no skill involved, just lots of luck) swerving back in to my lane and seeing 3 cars disappear in my right mirror over the hill. If you zoom in on the photo you can just see the black tyre marks on the 3rd white line from the crest. Mine I think.
Over beers half a hour later a couple of our group remarked how (unusually) quiet I was. Too right. I had PTSD! Over it now though. Made peace with the tarmac the following day. Phew. :-)

Yep, it claimed me earlier in the year and I knew it was there. But being on a much heavier bike than usual and giving it some beans meant NATO showed some interested in my flight path.

A bit of quiet contemplation is good for the soul, after a close brush with your mortality IMHO mate.doffyp wrote:........Over beers half a hour later a couple of our group remarked how (unusually) quiet I was. Welcome to this friendly little forum Doffyp.

Do me a favour Munty Don. You know I'm a Doffy. And a born survivor! By the way - I reckon you could make a living joining folk around the Peaks. Amazing routes you got us on Roberto fella.
