I'm always tempted

A test ride would be on the cards

Yeah I know what you mean I'm always tempted.

I emailed a few local dealers last week for a test ride but no demo bike available apparently.

For me I would want to test ride a new R1 against a 1299 on the same roads within in a few days of each other and then make a decision as unless someone pulls a corking new model out at the upcoming shows these are my current short list for the ten replacement.

Won't happen for another year at the earliest though. Unless I get a silly offer on the ten as everything is for sale at the right price.
