One Year On
It's hard to believe but the new site opened its doors on this day last year.
As often happens when you move, not everyone comes with you. It's always a shame when people you've chatted with online and been to events or rideouts with stop using the forum, but the door is always open to them.
Forums aren't as popular today as people move spend more time on facebook and twitter. In my opinion there's a place for all forms but only a forum has that sense of community, knowledge of information and friendly integration that the others lack.
On the positive side we've got lots of new faces who continue to make Tankslap one of the better and much more friendly forums on the web.
A massive "Thank You" to D6Nutz for all of his hard work in getting the new site up and running and making the changes people have wanted during the last 12 months.
But Tankslap would be nothing without those who contribute to it and make it the place I'm proud off, so a big thank you to you as well.
2015 has a lot to offer, with the usual rideouts, trackdays, European adventures and hopefully a couple of social events as well.
So let's spread the word and I'll see you all at a track, rideout or cake shop soon.
Love and hugs

Re: One Year On
Happy birthday Tankslap! Cheers Kwacky and D6Nutz! I don't facebook or Twitter so appreciate all your hard work keeping the site going. Just to add, I've met some excellent people through this site which I definitely would not have otherwise.

Wow. Hard to believe it's been a year since we launched this version of the site.
Here's looking forward to many more years of chat, banter, biking, and cake.

Re: One Year On
Nice one. I had a bit of a wobble last year when I realised that I would probably never be able to ride a motorbike again cos of my eyes, but the friendship, community spirit and sheer sense of (inclusive) fun has kept me coming back so big thanks to both Kwacky and D6Nutz for making this friendly corner of the interwebz happen.

Re: One Year On
I'm very late to this thread, my only excuse is I've been riding!!
Many thanks to Kwacky and D6Nutz for not only keeping this 2.0 site going but establishing the original site and giving all the D600.org tragics somewhere to go. I'm yet to find another forum with the same feel to it. I can only imagine how much better it would be to be involved in the ride outs and meet ups.
Maybe I should start investigating bike rentals in the UK

Seriously, I would love to meet many of you someday as I feel like I know you already. I love the 'friendly pub' atmosphere of the place, which is what brings me back as often as it does. Well done Rich for making that a reality
