Re: when in Russia
Yeah I won't be doing a motorbike tour in Russia anytime soon!
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: when in Russia
I watched a vid the other day which was of drivers in Russia, cars, trucks, the lot, and it made me wonder, the lack of care and attention as well as just crap drivers was astounding!
Then I thought no wonder the drivers seem to have on board cameras, the standard must be so crap that they have them to protect themselves when it comes to insurance claims.
The excuses the insurance companies receive with claims must be hilarious ha ha, it bit more than the old classis, " as I proceeded down the road this tree just jumped out in front of me" lol.

Re: when in Russia
Apparently according to the Lithuanians and Polish at our place they have such cameras because of the rich and police. If a rich guy smacks into a poor guy then the police will get bought off by them and they will fudge any information.
The poor didn't like it so decided to buy cameras so they can protect themselves. Apparently happens all the time and has happened to the guys who I have spoken too.
I work in a minority British environment so talking can be quiet interesting at times, when their not talking about vodka or whiskey! The driving stanadard isn't good but with video evidence they can prove everything. There is no other reason for it. Poland however have got a better driving test than ours and they complain about our driving standards over here saying we can't drive!
Around and around we go!

It's easy to buy the Police off in Russia. I've seen it first hand.
Insurance fraud was a massive issue, which is the main reason for people having dashboard cameras

You're getting cynical in your old age.duke63 wrote:they all look a bit fake to me.
Youtube has thousands of videos from Russia. It really is that bad. Booze plays a big part in Russian society. I've seen them in the mornings going into work, at the train station drinking lager or vodka.
