I know it's easy to have a pop at him and other well off people like Winehouse who have suffered at the hands of booze, but this graphically illustrates the damage booze does to people, regardless of who you are.
I doubt any of his mates are around to help him out.

Poor lad, I really don't like football, but to see someone that had the world at his feet 25yrs ago be destroyed by his addiction is awful.
I wonder if he'd have been ok if he'd been a plasterer, mechanic or a lorry driver - something without the maelstrom of excess he was thrown into as a top footie player. Sometimes I'm glad I'm not rich.
