Weekend plans
so what's everyone up to?
I've got nothing planned at all. So I'll spend some time with the family I think. I need to give the bike some TLC as well, I've not done any cleaning or checks for a while.

Re: Weekend plans
Tomorrow I'm off to Snetterton to see a couple of the 675.cc guys, one has bought my old gazebo (that I'm delivering) and the other is doing his first trackday since an operation on his shoulder. One of the guys has asked me to try a session on his bike to see if my leg problems are fixed, I've had a lot less issues in the last month so I'm hopeful it may be behind me, anyway riding kit required for tomorrow.
Sunday is a family day, I think a good hike is required in the morning for blackberries and check the sloe situation, fresh blackberries for dessert is always a good idea.

Re: Weekend plans
Got my brother and his wife down for the weekend so no biking activities this weekend.
He is thinking of getting a Multistrada next year so I may let him have a go as long as he cleans it first

Re: Weekend plans
Last weekend before heading out into the blue yonder again. So running around trying to get everything done that I should've got done in the last 5 weeks. And my young fella's eight birthday party at a trampoline centre, with 15 kids. Having the party a bit early as his actual birthday is in the middle of my swing offshore.

Re: Weekend plans
Today I'm sat waiting to fly.
Tomorrow I'll be flying. For the best part of the day.
Sunday will be spent acclimatising, sweating and probably moaning about the heat!

Re: Weekend plans
Just been for a decent run, so chilling for the rest of tonight.
Tomorrow, packing the car up for a long old drive to north devon, the following week will be one long weekend for me. Hopefully with a few beers and a bit of chilling out time..

Re: Weekend plans
This weekend I will be mostly mourning the lose of my dear old grandmother (mothers side). A true and honest woman born of a sadly gone generation. She (and my grandfather) taught me empathy and sympathy, morals and values, respect and courtesy, in which i am truly grateful and thankful.
However, all of this conflicted throughout my up bringing as my mother married a rebel biker, lol.
God rest her.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but it's nice to read how much of a positive impact she had on your life.

As with the others, sorry for your loss Trix', but we all go sometime. The important thing is that she will still live on in you, with those attributes that she instilled.

Re: Weekend plans
Well, went to Snetterton today, sold my gazebo and managed to get round for a couple of shortened sessions, although trying to get to grips with being on a track again on a bike I've never ridden, with tyres I've never used and suspension that was set for the road (+pillion), made it an interesting experience, oh and it was in the fast group two sessions after everyone else got settled in. As I said a bit interesting, and definitely quickened my heart rate.
Good day though, and looking forward to a good walk tomorrow.

Re: Weekend plans
You'll be right in a couple of days mate. After flying in and out of the tropics every month I've got used to it, but the first few times it took 2-3 days. Just avoid the air-con as much as possible and keep busy. Plus, hydrate heaps. You'll need 3-4 Litres in you a day. I'm sure the mob have given you guys hydration briefings, but I can't push the importance if it enough. Enjoy!!Itchy wrote:F*** IT'S HOT!Itchy wrote:Today I'm sat waiting to fly.
