Re: DaytonaBuff
Thanks for all the birthday wishes and thanks to Kwacky for punting a link to this thread my way on FB. :-) Apologies for not having been around for a fair while, I shan't bore you all with details but I'm aiming to get back on here enjoying the banter from now on.
Had a fantastic birthday, starting with seeing the kids for a pre-birthday tea on Tuesday. My girlfriend made me a superb cake detailing us out on a bike ride (with her lagging behind to massage my frail mail ego!). Then she dropped it on me that she's whisking me off to Magny Cours for the World Supers. I've been to BSB at Oulton, NW200 and the MotoGP at Donny, but never a WSB race meet. I was so excited it made my willy fizz.
Have any of you fine chaps/chapesses ever been to that track? I've been using the lingo skills to trawl the French sites but can't find much on best vantage points, whether it's worth upgrading to a main stand ticket/paddock pass, etc.
I've even been that far out of the loop, not having Sky TV or cable, that I didn't even know who was doing what in GPs, BSB or WSBK apart from highlights news on Crash.net I'm hoping to get back into it now I have changed telephone provider from Sky (long story involving nuisance calls) to BT and have BT Sport thrown in with Eurosport on freeview.
Now, save me the hassle of having to read through nigh on 6 months of posts and bring me up to speed will you?... ;-) Just headlines: Did Kwacky go into the priesthood? Has Spudda bought shares in Carnauba wax? Has Jack branched out into Page 3 photography? Has D6 started cleaning/lubing his chain yet? Answers on a postcard please. Usual address.
