Weekend plans
So what's everyone up to?
Gym tonight
Taking the kids to the cinema tomorrow.
Nothing planned for Sunday. I might get out on the bike if the weather is ok.

Bit of a mad one this weekend. Out tomorrow all day with the kids for the wifes birthday treat, the it's an annual family gathering round my parents on sunday..
Hoping to find time to fit the new brake discs, but unlikely to get the chance to try them out..

Taking Mum to the hospital this afternoon for a top & bottom endoscopy.
Tomorrow if the storms hold off it's the towns music festival and a proper pub gig in the evening, every pub normally has something different on, so I'll find which is best tomoz.
Sunday is likely recovering from Saturdays hangover.

Re: Weekend plans
Chilling out tonight.
Up early (6am) on Saturday as it's aciiiieeeeed day (only my bone protector, sadly) then back to doing stuff round the house. My mate's coming over to help cut in the paint in my room, got a ton of stuff in boxes that needs to be put away to liberate some floor space. Will also try and get my fencing / gates on order so I can get the garden sorted soon.
Sunday prepare for a week at work as not done one of those for a while! I've got a nice half shoulder of lamb in the freezer so might get that out and have a roast. If I get bored I'll probably start sanding down the floor in my bedroom. Rock and roll!

Altitude dive by any chance Mac? I love freshwater diving for a change. If you haven't already, you should see if you can do a river drift dive somewhere, so much fun!!Mac wrote:Working the weekend, so taking my oldest scuba diving today at the lake. Re: Weekend plans
Was going to tinker with the track bike today, but just saw the neighbours setting up and remembered they are having a Naming Ceremony for their baby, so I guess starting the green beast up today is out. Plenty of other chores to keep me entertained.
Tomorrow taking my push bike out with the kids. My little girl wasn't to be beaten by her brother, and is riding without training wheels now too, so we are all going for a ride around the regatta centre tomorrow. Once I've got them hooked on two wheels I'll introduce motors![Evil grin ]:)](./images/smilies/emoticon-0116-evilgrin.gif)

Re: Weekend plans
Not really an altitude dive as our elevation is ~ 2,500'. Visibility sucked today due to recent rains with average being about 3-5', and she did well considering her experience and conditions. She did find out today that her birthday pressie in two weeks will be diving with whale sharks at the worlds largest aquarium (the Ga. Aquarium), and she was understandably psyched beyond belief!kiwikrasher wrote:Altitude dive by any chance Mac? I love freshwater diving for a change. I had to work about 5 days off duty for this, but completely worth it for her reaction today

Re: Weekend plans
That looks amazing, and sounds like her reaction made all the extra work seem insignificant.

That looks amazing and what a wonderful and generous gift.
I have considered doing this myself and I think that has just made my mind up and its going on my Xmas list.

Just with your dive Mac, any dive at 1000' or more is classed as an altitude dive in that you need to adjust your pressure group in dive planning. So if your diving off a dive planner chart it's worth looking at the adjustment. If your diving on a computer, no dramas as it will automatically adjust nitrogen loading values.
As for today's conditions, it will add tons to her confidence having handled that. Makes for a much more rounded diver on my experience.
