Jollydays
How cr@p is the British weather ? Raining all bank holiday weekend again.
Were off to Holiday Village Kos next week and can't wait to have some sun for a change.
Everyone here is well run down so some sun and family fun is well in order and I can't wait.

Re: Jollydays
I got the grumps yesterday because I was stuck in the house. We went out in the morning as a family but I don't really want to be indoors all day.
Hopefully today will be a bit better.
It's nice to have a holiday to look forward to, especially when it's so close.

Cheers lads.
I'm terrible with cabin fever. Getting better in my old age as any peace and quite is now rare and gratefully received, but before kids I couldn't stand my own company and would always go out rather than be indoors.

Cheers Cookie. I totally agree. I have mates who see holidays as expensive waste of money but like you we feel there essential r&r and if you work hard you need and deserve them is our opinion.C00kiemonster wrote:Sound great fella. We all need R&R!
Would rather spend money on my family then p1$$ it up the wall which is what my mates who think holidays are a waste do.

Re: Jollydays
With your kids being at the age they are you need to make the most of it IMO. Many people don't.
We had some great hols with the kids and I wish I had had more. Now they are at uni it's so much harder to do, plus they turn into teenagers which is a whole different ball game

Re: Jollydays
Cheers Cookie that is our plan.
We had booked Lapland this year but they have just cancelled on us and can't get somewhere we like that fits round my shift pattern now. On hold till next year now unfortunately. Looking at uk Santa breaks now for this year as your 100% right you need to make the most of your kids whilst you can.
Hope you get some quality time with your girls mate. I'm sure your girls will love visiting you and Jane in France. Too cool parents in a cold pad with cool cars and bikes what's not to like

We all need a bit of sun on our backs, we've been going to Skiathos a lot over the last few years but not going this year, think weve messed up tbh, have good time, bit of sun might help your back mate.Blade wrote:How cr@p is the British weather ? Raining all bank holiday weekend again.

Re: Jollydays
Blade couldn't agree more me and my GF love our holidays. The British weather sucks and we both hate it. We have mates who say we're boring coz when we go out we save our money and not drink as much as them etc and then they moan and and get jealous when we go away on nice holidays...some people don't sseem to understand where our priorities lie.
Get away and enjoy searching New areas and talking to different people.
Really have a brilliant holiday :-)

This country is such a lovely place when the sun shines. But it foes seem to be mostly raining, and I don't know about you lot but the rain seems to have got a lot more intense!
I am sure I have a touch of SAD, (season affective disorder)
Yours depressed - Berkshire ha ha

Cheers Rossgo and Frankie.
I had to laugh having my tea tonight. I was enjoying a cold beer after a days riding and my youngest turned to me and said, deadly seriously "Are me and you drinking dirty beer on holiday dad ?"
I have to say it sounds a great plan to me. Don't worry I won't let the little one have more than 3 pints a night. I like to think sensible parenting is one drink for every year of age
