True love of 53 years makes me appreciate that magic is real - this is why I feel this picture is uplifting

@Kiwi, something satisfying about capturing a lovely image of a loved one isn't there and it just shows how good phone cameras are these days.
@Jack, that's a challenging shot indeed and nice work on pulling it off! I'm guessing the blur of the background is where you tracked your subject?

@Cav - yes the background blur is the result of the pan , the lower the shutter speed the more motion blur and the harder it is to capture with any clarity

@Cav - your parents I take it? It is indeed magical when you see and older couple that are obviously affectionate with each other
@Jack - Brilliant capture mate, I’ve had the odd go at panning/tracking shots and you don’t realise how hard it truely is until you try it.

What uplifts me... Nature... being out in the morning enjoying it before, gossiping joggers, shouty cyclists, in general people

all descend on the places I go and miss all of the nature going on around them.

It took me a while to realise there was a bird in the bush.. I was sat there thinking, "why have you taken a photo of a plant when there's no flowers" haha

Uplifting - for me yes. A break in the sun on a beach with beautiful blue sky and sea, with happy children.

An absolutely stunning photo which I personally love.
Please take the time to post up a new thread "June POTM (Photo of the Month)" and choose a new theme.
It's great to see so many different photos and how everyone can perceive the same word in so many different ways.
