May POTM (Photo of the Month)
Let's give this a go.. Picture of the Month.
A theme will be set and at the end of the month a winner will be selected; the person with the most likes on their photo will then set a new theme for June. You can post multiple times each month and with whichever camera you have on your person; DSLR, iPhone, disposable?!
This month's theme:
With riding season (for the fair weather bikers among us) around the corner spirits start to lift..
...Capture something which makes you feel uplifted

How is the winner picked? Does the person who starts the thread for that month decide? I think that's easier but I'm happy for other suggestions.

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
I didn't have anything to offer in terms of a prize but the winner will be the person with the most likes on their photo and they then set next month's theme.

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
Cav, does it need to be a photo taken that month or can it be a photo you’ve previously taken?
Not a go at your pic Jack, I always appreciate that bum

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
Where possible I think it should be a photo from the current month but recent photos (1-2months) should be okay too. Defeats the object a bit if it's a year old photo though

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
Is there still a limit on photosizes? makes it a pain when I only use my phone to view tankslap in my personal time, as I cant resize them on my phone. So I rarely post pics. and my laptop takes so long to start up that ive run out of time to browse the web. lol

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
From memory the forum software should resize the photo if you upload it from your phone.

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
The limit from a computer is 4Mb, not sure about the phone though.
Which phone do you have? I'll do a little research into what you can do to resize/compress the image

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
The limit from a phone is also 4mb. Make sure you’re not trying to upload ‘live’ photos with iOS, they are much larger in size.
I’ve screenshot photos that have been too large as a easy way to convert them to a smaller file size. Works every time.

Re: May POTM (Photo of the Month)
This is ‘uplifting’ for me.
Looking at my daughter, knowing she is happy, healthy and well cared for, seeing that mischievous smile and knowing I’m raising a young lass with a bit of character. Makes me feel proud that I’m doing a pretty good job as a parent.
iPhone X in portrait mode and edited to black and white. Taken tonight on the couch.

I like the way the light from her phone illuminates her face , I would crop it real tight on her face . Just my thoughts on it .
