Re: Theresa May announcement
I see May is now stealing policy from the last Labour manifesto. A policy which IIRC the Tories lambasted them for.

Re: Theresa May announcement
No point her saying we'll save money on utility bills if she's going to increase NI and/or income tax. She's refused to comment when asked the question.

Re: Theresa May announcement
Country up shit creek. No money. Big business saying a hard Brexit is no good to them. Public services being running into the ground. tax and NI likely to increase. No plans for the most tumultuous change to the Country since WW2.
And what do we hear from May and her band of merry bum lickers? Let's reintroduce fox hunting.
Does anyone need more reasons not to vote for this bunch of ****?

They'll get voted back in regardless of what they say because people fear change especially in uncertain times.
I certainly will not be voting for her - she's a twat at the very least

She'll get voted back in because of that, and the fact that there is no identifiable option to vote our way out of this flat spin..?Cav wrote:They'll get voted back in regardless of what they say because people fear change especially in uncertain times.
I don't suppose the Lib Dems will do any better than the irrelevance offering that they've been giving us for the last 50 years, but perhaps if they got their act together & thought laterally, they would have their first proper opportunity for decades.?
IMHO whatever the outcome, the coming leaders will have the poisoned chalice, for the reasons Duke63 pointed at.

Re: Theresa May announcement
Tory manifesto apparently doesn't say how their costings are funded and worked out.
Country is being taken for mugs by right wing ****.

Re: Theresa May announcement
I try hard not to comment too much on politics and i've made it clear before i vote more to the right than the left, but frankly the current shower of Tories deserve nothing but a massive loss at this election. Policies and lack of democracy at present are horrendous. Whatever i thought about Theresa May i was sadly wrong.
I don't know why the people of the UK seem now brainwashed to allow these lunatics to remain in charge, but they are going way too far and i do hope everyone votes labour and/or lib democrats at least to rebalance the political landscape. Are people all that naive and selfish?
Last chance Britain, last chance!

Re: Theresa May announcement
If you end up in care they put a charge on your house and take what they can leaving you with a minimum of £100k equity.
So if you thought you were buying a house as investment for your kids, you had best hope you don't get ill.

And don't forget you will have spent your entire life paying NI for exactly what? Not to mention the company taking the equity will make a profit on YOUR hard earned equity!Kwacky wrote:If you end up in care they put a charge on your house and take what they can leaving you with a minimum of £100k equity.

Yet they seem to want to reduce inheritance tax for the very wealthy whilst 'taxing' the less well of by taking your relatively small life earnings away.
You can see why they are against euthanasia.

Re: Theresa May announcement
The one that makes me laugh/cry is the 12 months compassionate leave to look after a sick partner/relative. I earn three times the national average wage, but I'd be bankrupt in three months!
