Re: What are you doing today ??
Packing to come to the Uk for a few days, one of Mrs C00kiemonster's sisters is getting married starting tomorrow. 4 days of receptions, marriages, parties, gatherings and the like. Don't get me wrong, i like a good wedding, but 4 days? Super expensive places as well - why people try so hard to impress by spending money is beyond me. We reckon they won't have any change out of £50-70k. 350 guests

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just to clear up on the speeding it as on the M25 up near Potters Bar, the "for ever changing speed limits" due to smart motorway behaviour.
Its all about us the drivers now on the motorway, you drive to close cause the traffic to domino like it does when muppets drive to close, the sensors under the road read this and slow the traffic down with the over head limit signs.
So as most of them drive like twats, the speed will always get reduced, cars will back up and the cycle of the motorway nightmare continues.
I was going on doing 70ish lol the it went to 60. My fault i was caught,, in my defence which does not wash, as the dick behind was so close I was not prepared to brake and have them run into the back of me.
All the while not a rozzer in sight, its all done by computer !!!!!
As for what I was doing today, same again sitting in traffic and avoiding muppets!

Going off to Exmoor today to a Big cold Manor House. Went last year and was a great weekend. Suppose to be for 4 days but I'm heading back on the Sunday due to my first day at work on the Tuesday

attempting a tent repair , we'll see if it holds up over the weekend , think its time for a new one though , this has lasted a touch over 2 years , I reckon we've spent 112 days and nights in it , works out at about £3.50 a night

Sitting at emergency again at 11.30 pm. The knuckle was healing nicely and I finished the antibiotics yesterday. Stitch was removed yesterday as well. Today about mid afternoon it started to get painful and by dinner time was red and swollen. I basically can't move my fingers at all now and it's weeping buckets loads and my whole hand is swollen.
Don't think I'll be going to work on Tuesday

Ouch, sounds like you've got a course of antibiotics coming your way Kiwi, probably a pretty heavy one if you're to have any chance of making the chopper.
Here in Blighty I've almost filled a 3 cu yd skip with flat pack furniture and junk, but have only got about a third of what's to go.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Yep Deegee. I was on a course that I finished yesterday but appears it was far too low a dose.
I won't be making the chopper on Wednesday, had an infection before (chainsaw injury) and I wasn't allowed out till well after I'd finished the antibiotics and they could be confident the infection wouldn't return. Got heaps of sick leave so not overly worried.

day at the football with my lad. Got to catch up with some mares before the game, a full St Andrews, 2 goals despite being down to 10 men and a cracking atmosphere.

Not flipping stopped all day. Finally had the fitters in to lay the new floor, it looks lush.
To keep out from under their feet I did gardening, 4 hours of gardening! According to my watch I've walked 8 miles today, I know 6 of that I didn't leave the property bounds!

Moved in 7 days ago now and this is the earliest I've sat down in an evening after starting jobs at 7 most mornings
Too tied for a bath. It's a black crash tonight and shower in the morning. Beer and lay on the sofa is screaming my name at the moment
