I went to a Ducati Owners club meet last year and one of the members turned up in one of these. He worked for JLR and they were all given usage of an F type for a week so they could tell anyone who asked how good they were. He was saying how the engine blocks are the same whether its a V6 or a V8. The V6 just has the last two cylinders blanked off.
Having never sat in a car with paddles let alone driven one , I can honestly say my jealousy threshold is fast reaching never previously attained heights.
I bet Mrs C00kiemonster is a double for Angelina Jolie too.!
LOL, I have to be honest & admit when that advert came on the TV last night I immediately thought of C00kiemonster.
Thanks for posting us up the extra pics mate, very very lovely indeed.
They really hide that engine away don't they.
Is it an automatic.?
8 speed auto plus paddle shift. 3 different modes. Dynamic mode is like a manual. Plus it's snorts like a hippo on the upshift and blips on the downshift.
Manual shifts have had their day in cars, IMHO. Autoboxes are so good now that changing gear manually is just a chore.

Interesting Duke.
I used to be a die-hard "manual only" type. I have still never owned an automatic car.
However when I had finished repairing the old JCB digger I brought off a neighbouring farmer I discovered that it was an automatic.
It is amazingly easy to use, and far better in every way than a manual would be.

I've ordered a Beemer 520 and thats an auto
Likely yours is a similar box made by ZF. Jag have tweaked it I understand, but a number of manufacturers are now using it. A friend of mine has a Beemer 120d with the same box and loves it.
I drove a boxster and a 911 before choosing the jag and the twin clutch auto box they have was really quick changing but a bit daft at times. This one just seems to know what gear you want and is very very quick and smooth.
