Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Gave the KTM a good once over before a blast tomorrow
Cleaned and lubed the chain as it was disgusting. Fitted the seat cowl. Removed the pillion pegs. Refitted the left exhaust mount as it was loose. Gave all the plastics a polish with back to black and a quick coat of wax on the fairings.
Found out the abba stand adapters aren't the right ones, or I'm being a plank having never used one before. There are also no paddock stand bobbins so had to go back to the old paddles. I hate those things.
Anyway....

Went down to the BIAMF on the 999 and met some of the guys off the Ducati forum, a guy turned up on a 1098 cafe racer, my god what a thing of beauty it was.

If you want to try some cheap Chinese bar end mirrors, Jon, you can have mine for the cost of postage.
Bike looking good.

Cheers mate, I'll give you a shout.duke63 wrote:If you want to try some cheap Chinese bar end mirrors, Jon, you can have mine for the cost of postage.

As it stands I can't get the bike through the gate with the standard mirrors, so bar ends are out until I've managed to make the gate wider anyway.

Wouldn't bar end mirrors that are turned inwards make it easier?

What a fantastic bike! Get it into the power range and it goes like warp speed!! However I still tinker with the idea of a 1000. I think I want to just try one really lolKwacky wrote:You enjoying the Kwak then?

Took the 748 for a run on some of my fave roads. Much quieter than last weekend. Bike is now almost perfect.
Such an exhilarating ride.

Ragged it, and it wheelied in forth! Was a bit of a shock, but maybe I had just slipped the clutch.

I froze my nuts off this morning. I can't believe it's almost May and it's so bloody cold

Rode the RSV for probably the list time.
Took the it for it's MOT as the buyer was insisting it had to be done, passed with no advisories (once one of those stupid dot reflectors had been stuck on)
Felt so cramped riding it after the weekend on the KTM.

Going to turn quite warm by middle of next week so the forecast says.

Probably the 3 days I'm in Norwich.
It's gone very dark here and the heavens have just opened up. Great, rain and strong winds for the ride home.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Feck me what a horrible ride home.
It looked a bit grey when I left work. It started to rain. During the next 40 minutes the rain turned into hail then snow then a blizzard.
I couldn't see as the snow was covering my visor. The snow was that thick it was settling on me, the bike and the road. Even at 20mph the bike was still squirming as the tyres struggled for grip. Just to make matters worse the wind was really whipping up.
Freezing cold and still covered in snow and ice I made it home.
This evening I swapped the bikes over so I'm back on the SX for the rest of the week.
