To be fair I doubt he needs the TT to make money these days. I've no doubt he's getting a good wedge for it but he could also probably make more, without the risk, if he pushed himself at the telly more. I hope this is a case of racers race but you never know with Guy!

From meeting John McGuiness at Rockingham Honda don't supply the bikes for him. Every Honda he has raced is a bike he has bought and pays for...
I don't know what agreement Guy has reached but if they offered him the bike then I'm sure that would have been a bit of a sway in the right direction. Not just that but they have found much more power and being a Honda I'm sure they won't allow it to break down on the TT - a reliable bike that's quick is worth a ride IMO

In terms of JM paying for all his race bikes? I find that hard to believe. Superbikes are £250k upwards aren't they?
Happy to be corrected but it doesnt sound right imo.

From the horses mouth he doesn't get given the bikes.. it's why you will never see Honda as a sponsor on his leathers

He doesn't buy the superbike , just the superstock 1000 that he has run under the e=mc2 sponsorship the last couple of years .
As for Honda on his leathers :

Superbike

Supersport

Superstock 1000
As you can see its only the stock 1000 that he's not sponsored by Honda and I presume that is his choice as he can earn a lot from the big sponsors he has on it .

Good news for the TT as it will get even more people watching it. Personally don't think he will win anything Its just a poster boy exercise . Whats happened to Conner has he still got a ride ??
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.
