Been given an Advent 7102 LapTop for the Spudlets to use
It works, its connected to the internet but I cant get it any sound
No, its not muted
I've checked the Sounds and Audio Devices and theres nothing available.
Do I need a sound card or something or can I down load anything ?
Also on YouTube clips, it'll play the first 10 seconds and then it comes up with a YouTube error message

Re: No sound on my laptop
Have you got any speakers or headphones you can plug in to see if the sound is going through that?
Does the YouTube error happen with any over online videos?

Re: No sound on my laptop
It looks like your laptop has a Realtek AC'97 audio device for the sound.
You could try to download the driver and install that to see if it picks it up.
http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads/dow ... Down=false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Another option is to get the computer to scan for hardware to see if it picks the card up.
