That sounds like a very good idea... although you should just move her in #JustSaying
I've never had a decent mattress before but now I have - I'll never buy a crappy one again

To be fair, if it was just us, she'd be living there now. But it's not, there are 4 kids to consider. My two have been through enough upheaval in the last couple of years and I wouldn't want to rock their world like that so soon. I went to a lot of trouble and expense to secure the family home so they had some stability. If Jess and her kids moved in they would still be there when I come to work and my kids go to their mums. I don't want my kids to start to feel like visitors to their own house. Plus the boys would have to share a room, and Byron with his ASD would lose it if any of his stuff had been moved while he wasn't there.
At the moment Jess stays most weekend nights I'm home and once through the week when her kids are with their dad. The weekends she has her kids they all come and stay and that's been working out OK. Baby steps, no hurry. Plus I'm enjoying the space to rediscover myself rather than who my ex expected me to be.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: Mr Postman
You don't need to explain yourself to me Kiwi...
It sounds like you're a great dad and your setup (while unconventional) sounds like a pretty awesome compromise! I think space is probably a good thing and I totally get what you're saying about your kids feeling like visitors to their own home.
Feel free to tell me to "**** off" in the future

Re: Mr Postman
That all sounds very grown up and sensible .
For what it's worth, if I found myself in a similar situation I reckon I would need a breather, as would the kids.
Besides, we all like our own space at times.

Re: Mr Postman
Your right mate, I was on the phone to Jess when I read that and she good a good giggle from it. She has just moved houses while I've been at work and everyone assumed she was moving in with me, so we have had to explain ourselves a fair bit.Cav wrote:You don't need to explain yourself to me Kiwi...

We only send to those we really care about. This sending to everyone you've possibly met is sad.

Re: Mr Postman
This - Had a few HJC before, always quiet, comfy, quality lids, has the drop down dark visor inside for the road. will replace the GT air which i have been disappointed with. Even the pinlock part is recessed into a grove in the visor, so it should have a really good seal and not fog up. Plus I have gone for a bright lid rather than black this time, works well with the bike as well...Rossgo wrote:What have you decided on then Frankie?Frankie wrote:New Lid....
