We left the circuit early. Perky and I were knackered and Perky's ongoing RC8 battery issues meant he had to get back to his works to pick up the new one.
The bike is fecking excellent on the track. It does everything I need. I really need to sort out the suspension. They had a suspension guy there but he was also the tyre man, so he was busy all day.
Despite it being novices we were in, almost everyone had a track bike. Even on track bikes some people were incredibly slow, but it was novices. I'll try and book earlier next time so I can get into inters.
First session went really well. In the second session I hammered into the hairpin far too fast. I jammed on the brakes, lifted the rear and managed to get the front to lock and skip. That was about 15 mins in so I decided to call it an early end for that session. Third session was a flyer. The bike was singing, the tyres were gripping, the rider was confident. The only thing I noticed was the ache in my legs as I was muscling the bike about.
Lunch came at the right time.
Perky and I had agreed to leave after a couple of sessions in the afternoon.
I had my first afternoon session under instruction. I told him I wanted to work on the hairpin, so he bowls up to the hairpin, drops the bike on its side, knee down, pins it then flies off to the bus stop. Erm, yeah, thanks for that.
There was a nasty looking two bike accident in the fast group, so Perky and I decided to call it a day.
D6, sorry if you went up there to see us. I wasn't sure if that was you coming towards us but the Triple had a pillion.
I need to work on my body position, but I've known that for a while. Today was just about getting back on the track and seeing what the kwak could do. Did I mention how good it was? Apart from me conquering my fear of Edwinas I think the best bit was doing a combo of undertakes and overtakes around Gerrards as I picked my way through the field.

Thanks to Jack and Simon for taking snaps. Shout out to Emma for coming over to see us and a big up to Perky and Fox7.
Top day fellas.
