Did you know her well? Was anyone with her when she had the accident?
Awful. RIP.

Emma-Lou was has been an active & engaging member on 675.cc since early 2014. I only actually met her once (at our forum trackday this year, where she stayed & camped with us despite not being on track).C00kiemonster wrote:Did you know her well? Was anyone with her when she had the accident? (
The accident happened on Thursday evening, and as she commuted on her 675 I should expect that will have been returning home from her shift (she was a nurse) & therefore riding alone.

Never good to hear St Marks, from that thread it sounds like she was a top lass.

Oh no, that's terrible news. I didn't know her but she always came across as very friendly on 675cc. How tragic.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Just got an email from HR. One of the guys in my shift died yesterday. He was only a couple years older than me, fit and healthy. No details yet but unfortunately I'm guessing he's been in some sort of accident.

Sorry Cav, I'm not normally (I don't believe) one to spread sadness & melancholy over the forum.Cav wrote:Just looked on here to see 2 people you guys knew have died - really not what you want to see, ever.

But Emma-Lou was a very bright & special spark. As well as being a true motorcyclist, she was as generous & thoughtful as any forum member.
So when I learned she had been killed by a Car driver I did want to vent, and this seemed the logical thread to share it on IMHO mate.
I also thought it may bring it to the attention of anyone one here who may like to be advised but did not frequent 675,cc.
I'll go back to just being an annoying little troll soon, when my annoyance at this loss to society has abated....

I wish people would stop apologising for who they are, be yourself we're a long time dead.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
St M that's truly appalling news, unfortunately I didn't know Emma Lou, but she sounds like one of those vivacious people that gather friends easily, such a waste - and because of another's ineptitude - very much worth your venting about.
Please pass on my condolences, that's 3 X 675.cc members that have gone too early, Henry, Dean and Emma Lou.

What I meant is everyone is special, even you. Although to be fair you're probably more "Special Needs" than special in the traditional senseD41 wrote:Oh, that's fecking encouraging!!Monty wrote:I wish people would stop apologising for who they are, be yourself we're a long time dead.
