Re: Pokemon Go
Well that was a big fail. Won't let me use it because it can't get a GPS signal

Re: Pokemon Go
Not sure what you mean there. Get location ok thru' wifi as the screen capture I posted shows.Kwacky wrote:That's a bit crap. Surely there's a GPS marker for your location?
I've got it working kinda. It takes 10-20 secs to tell me I have no GPS. In that time I was able to select the incense. Poke turned up but couldn't select it. Restarted the app and quickly caught it. Waited 5 mins restarted the app another one turned up.
Time to go do it again

Re: Pokemon Go
I'm at work so 90% of images on the internet are blocked, which includes pretty much everything on this site, so I didn't see your screenie.

Re: Pokemon Go
So experiment complete.
As I said in the 20 odd seconds it took to realise there was no GPS I could select things. That's how I got the incense on. Spawning would still occur every 5 mins but I couldn't select the poke without an app restart. Poke would reappear and I'd quickly select it. I could still catch it which it saying no GPS though.
The haul, incense on for;
1 min -Voltorb 245 CP
6 min -Gastly 359 CP
11 min -Geodude 32 CP
16 min -Weedle 149 CP .... ran away
21 min -Rattata 85 CP
26 min -Bellsprout 349 CP
Biggest problem now is I only have 10 ultra balls and no others and no poke stops, so I'd have to buy balls and incense.

Re: Pokemon Go
Your plane trick won't work unless it is wifi enabled, as you need a data connection. My wifi dropped out at one stage and it booted me to the google log in page.

Re: Pokemon Go
There's a new update.
When you go to catch a pokemon there's a weird dot centre top. I've not worked out what it does yet.

I've not worked it out yet either.
I evolved a Magikarp last night...
...got myself a 93% Gyarados with Hydro Pump as it's 2nd move - pretty happy with that!

Re: Pokemon Go
I think those emblems at the top centre simply tell you what type of Pokemon it is.
I've hatched about 15 eggs this week and they've all been crap.

Re: Pokemon Go
You get bonuses for catching more of the same sort of poke, so maybe they have something to do with that?Kwacky wrote:I think those emblems at the top centre simply tell you what type of Pokemon it is.

Re: Pokemon Go
I prefer to get new pokemon and evolve some others.
I guess the randomness is all part of the game.

Re: Pokemon Go
Loads of Pokestops at Alton Towers so I managed to restock up on various items. I also took down a couple of gyms while I was bored in queues, although sadly I had one pokemon left to take a 30,000 gym when the ride arrived and I had to quit the fight, so no xp fpr me.
There seemed to be loads of male and female Nidoran about, as well as plenty of Clefairy and Venonat. Bagged a couple of Eevee as well, which I very rarely see.
Eggs have produced nothing interesting.
Currently got a Nidorino as my buddy. I need 30 more candy to get him evolved.

Re: Pokemon Go
Hatched a Rhyhorn which gave me enough candy to evolve it. CP is only 1328 but the attacks are 15 and 100 so I can use it for smashing gyms.
