Re: 2017 Honda Fireblade ?
I cant see a seamless gearbox tbh. Its only very very recently factory yamaha motogp racers have gotten it. Hope I'm wrong but can t see it personally.
A quickshifter would be a huge step forward
as would an auto blip per and TC.

Re: 2017 Honda Fireblade ?
Er......why is that bike $40K???
This is probably one of those things where the wife has pitched in with a "Why don't you sell that thing??"....and Mr P*ssywhipped has stuck it up for sale knowing full well that no-one is stupid enough to buy it at that price, just as no-one else was stupid enough to marry his ditzy wife except himself.
'Tard.

Re: 2017 Honda Fireblade ?
I wouldn't be surprised if they tested frames, engines, gearboxes, etc in isolation. Clearly the engine cover is a different colour and slightly different shape so to me it looks as if they've transplanted the new engine into the old bike.
Also, what's the say the frame isn't different towards the yokes? If they wanted more compliancy on the engine mount or somewhere else you wouldn't see it with the fairings on

Re: 2017 Honda Fireblade ?
There could be lots of changes which are not immediately obvious and hopefully there is and we find out soon.
Did you know although very similar looking the SP2 had a different frame, swingarm, fork, rear shock, wheels, fi system to name but a few of the major changes on what look at first glance looks a very similar motorcycle.

Some more info about the new Fireblade.
Looks like there will be a basic model as well as the SP versions.
Still no news on price.
