Re: What are you doing today ??
Went to bank opened a joint account with the missus and also rang up a company about a package that I still have not received. They investigated it and turns out it has been lost in the post!! The company are sending out a new package tracked!! Hopefully be here in a few days!
I also emailed another company about some chain cleaner that I am yet to receive and their reply was they were short stocked and just had a delivery a few days ago so they said they have been catching g up with orders and mine will be on its way tomorrow or the next day!
But hopefully will receive these soon now I have pushed for them!!

Re: What are you doing today ??
My last night shift!! Yea-fooking-hoo!!
Was up at 5pm this evening, and next time I see a bed, it'll be my own and I would have been up for 30 hrs. Just have 1 helicopter ride, 2 plane flights and a 1.5 hr taxi ride to get thru' to get there.

Looking through the jobs list as I'm now under 45 days consultation for redundancy, difficult decision to have to make with nearly 20 years service!

Good luck mate, Having experienced this myself just on a year and a half ago (for the second time mind you!) I know it can be a stressful time. 20 yrs of service should see you with a good payout so hopefully take the pressure off somewhat. With luck and perseverance you'll move onto bigger and better things! I know I would've still been at the old job if it wasn't for the redundancy, and I'm now on close to double my old salary.dizzyw wrote:Looking through the jobs list as I'm now under 45 days consultation for redundancy, difficult decision to have to make with nearly 20 years service!

I have plenty of opportunities internally to go for, the thing I'm struggling with is the large amount of cash being dangled! lol Also have a few leads externally so I will see how they pan out, if the money is right I may just jump ship before it all sinks anyway!kiwikrasher wrote:Good luck mate, Having experienced this myself just on a year and a half ago (for the second time mind you!) Got a ticket to see Foggy and Whitham at the National Motorcycle Museum tonight.
Bit undecided as whether to go or not but not much to lose other than a gallon of diesel.

Foggy is a bit cardboard-like but Whitham tells a good story.

Foggy has changed a lot since his best mate died a few years ago. it was a really good night.Blade wrote:I agree whit is funny and good craic but just can't agree foggy being a prat................. He is a total cockC00kiemonster wrote:I don't like foggy. Bit of a prat IMO. Whit is funny though.
Obviously Whitham has most of the funny stories to tell, Foggy tells more of the biking tales.
I asked them why road racers who are fast at the IOM, can't win short circuit races and vice versa.
They were both adamant that if the fastest short circuit guys wanted to be serious at the TT, then they would romp it. Its apparently just a case of putting the hours in to learn the circuit, the rest of the skills needed are all the same. Whitham said the top TT racers earn big money now yet BSB racers generally earn feck all.
