Had to make my own sandwiches this morning, which means a thick doorstep style manwich of thick brown bloomer bread, several slices of rare beef and loads of horseradish sauce.

Appetite has been a bit off so Mrs Gee made a Paella tonight, which was lovely, plus I get to have what's left for lunch tomorrow.

fish, chips and curry sauce. Seeing as I can't go to the gym I may as well blob out.

Couldn't be arsed to cook so popped down to the Oak for a burger (very good) and a couple of pints (even better).

I recreated a simple snack we tried on our summer holibobs last night, a slice of good bread that's been cubed on a plate, then dress it with a good first pressing olive oil, then sea salt and after that a scattering of dried oregano. It's an inexpensive accompaniment to a glass of good wine. I'd suggest a cake fork, cocktail pick etc for picking up the bread squares if, like me, you have a fondness for the Olio.

Bought a large chunk of the Lidl fresh bakery section, cakes and bread that were still hot on the shelf. Stuffed now, but looking forward to fresh rye bread, butter, salami and cheese with a jug of coffee for breakfast in the morning.

Re: What are you eating ??
Got a 16oz rib eye steak from the butchers for my dinner. Mrs is going for a curry with her family, her younger sister is in remission from leukaemia so they're having a get together, I'm staying home, I get on with her family but some of them are of the ilk that if they have dinner out, their kids are no longer their responsibility and can run riot no matter where the f*ck they are, proper grips my shit so I stay away from public get togethers as I'm not known to them for my reservedness. I digress.....I shall be having said steak with garlic fried mushrooms and a grilled beef tomato and a couple of 'lite' beers

Last night dinner was an actual 'feast'
Meat platter of wagu sausage, pork belly, beef cap and roast chick breast with 4 sides.

Re: What are you eating ??
I noticed that the cafe on Fordhouse Lane has reopened under new management so decided to soak up last night's booze with a fry up. Three sausages, three bacon, 2 eggs, black pudding, fried bread, hash brown, beans, tomatoes, 2 toast and a cup of tea for a fiver is remarkable value but I do feel like I've just been on Man vs Food! I'm unlikely to eat anything again for quite a while!

Tony.......what is that steak....'rare'..'extra rare'...or 'still twitching'???
I'm sitting here stuffing my fat face with the last of my candy....if I get any fatter I'll have my own ozone layer to worry about.

I made some dough just after lunchtime and we had homemade pizzas for dinner this evening, mine was artichoke, capers, mushroom and lots of anchovies. Yum! Oh and a nice glass of red as well, very full now.
