Nice bit of discrimination there from Lloyds..

Lloyds Bank has been accused of religious discrimination after offering free overdraft accounts to Muslims.
The bank sent customers a booklet this month explaining new charges.
While many will have to pay up to £80 a month if they go into the red, Muslims were told they would escape the charges. The document said: “We are removing the monthly overdraft management fee of £6 from our Islamic Account, Islamic Student Account and Islamic Graduate Account. So, if you use an unplanned overdraft on these accounts, there won’t be any charges.”

Change bank ASAP. Let none muslims vote with their wallets.
Easily done and very destructive to Lloyds. Game over, The pricks.

I’m not a great fan of B*nkers at the best of time, but they have really surpassed themselves this time.
I guess the Amish would be proud of this step .?
Nicked for "the other place".

Fwiw I used to bank with Lloyds & Barclays. I got utterly fed up with them about 5 years ago & changed to First Direct (part of HSBC).Blade wrote:Definitely going to look into moving.
I have never looked back. My only regret is that I didn't do it decades ago.

Why doesn't HSBC, Santander, TSB or their ilk drop charges on Christian accounts? Imagine the outcry if they did from the lunatics on the PC brigade?

Agreed, I'm sick of being discriminated against, because we do not kick off and complain. I'm sick and tired of left wing do gooders as well.
Grrrrrrrr.

Been with them all...Santander where the only ones to give me totally free business banking, so we switched 3 accounts to them. They also offer 123 accounts whereas they give you upto 3% cash back on transactions and direct debits. In 12 mths we have had over £500 cash back. It costs £2 a mth to have it but works out great.

Re: Nice bit of discrimination there from Lloyds..
I had some savings with Sproggit & Sylvester when Santandare took them over.
At the time I was caught with a few charges that they applied to my accounts. My fault because I should have been more aware of their amended structure. Nontheless I begrudge paying people for having my money, so I left them.
Looking at their recent changes & improvements, I would seriously consider them currently.

I've got the mortgage with Santander. Good service from them. They actually think about what they're doing.
