Ro's Fireblade Issues
Looked at it, smoking exhaust, petrol fumes galore and hot as anything after finishing todays 70mile round trip... and wandered... how many times can I do this 70mile trip on a 2003 blade that already has 49k on the clock?
any advice on keeping this going... I'm not sure I can afford Honda dealer prices and don't know trustworthy garages up here (Telford/Birmingham way) yet...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
You can do an oil and filter change yourself, that's easy enough.

Re: Ro's Fireblade Issues
As all above but if you're doing a few bits yourself eg oil, air filter I'd add a new spark plug to the list if it's smelling rich and not pulling well. Good luck.

[SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES] tell you what Kwacky my piston is in need of a good old service, it's been running dry for a while [PENSIVE FACE][SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES] it may die to Christmas, I bought her a nice ring but the shop needed to order it in so she just got little bits and pieces on a Christmas day...think she's a bit mad [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES] I didn't realise it would take 3-4 weeks to get the bloody thing here [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES] hahaKwacky wrote:PhnarrRossgo wrote: bet it just needs a good old service

Re: Ro's Fireblade Issues
No one needs a dry piston... or an unavailable ring to service.

Ro that's made me chuckle [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]
This piston needs to have oil around it, far too long it has been sitting there for, feel like a clapped out car that needs working on but the owner is taking a break from the project [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]
