Re: What are you doing today ??
Been reindeer sledge racing this afternoon and then chillaxing in the cabin next to a toastie warm roaring fire, which is much needed as it was -17 degC a few hours after the sunset at 2pm today. We're 2 hours in front so midday uk time and sun has set. Total Madness but also Christmas bliss and going looking for the Northern lights at the lake tonight

I've relented and we are putting up the decks today. Then out to lunch and I'm not driving....

Re: What are you doing today ??
Feeling pissed off.
Ordered my son a gaming chair for Xmas as that is what he wanted.
The company took the money from my cc the same day over two weeks ago and when we ordered there was plenty of stock....since we have seen no sign of the chair nor had i had any correspondence since the day of ordering, i chased up this week to be told it would be here on Saturday and an email sent out on Friday confirming.
Guess what ...no email and no chair...because they no longer have any stock.
And the guy on the phone came out with excuse after excuse...
So dont buy anything from Overclockers.co.uk.. absolute joke of a company. Happy to take people's money...but then do feck all afterwards.
Seriously thinking of reporting them to trading standards.

Sorry to hear that.
I've been using them since they started and have only ever had excellent service and support. Probably the best computer company I've used.
But that doesn't help you or your son.

Reviewing their facebook page it seems its not an uncommon problem with them.
I would think selling stuff you dont have in stock borders on fraudulent if they dont make you aware of that either at the time, or within a very short time frame afterwards.
They knew Friday last week they had no stock but not bothered to inform me.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Retailers who do that really annoy me Duke.
If they don't have stock, or at least ready availability from a 3rd party, then they should have no right to take payment IMHO.
All the excuses in the world don't help you one dot, just waste more of your time.
Twunts.!
Interestingly, although your Credit Card obviously protects you in these sorts of instances, I've noticed that Paypal is increasingly appearing as another payment option from retailers. They are also very proactive about enforcing timely dispatch.
Good luck sorting it mate, not much notice.!

Was sat in the sauna today with my two Lad's and missus when we all decided to run out of the cabin screaming and dive into a snow drift with nothing but our trunks on ...........just as the neighbours arrived next door

Mrs has gone to Bournemouth to see her grandad who had a stroke earlier in the week so my boy and I smashed out Avengers 1 and 2 with the surround sound on loud. Quick break now to do some panic housework before she's back then Transformers Age of Extinction.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Bugger all. Wife was going to take the kids to her mum's then go shopping, so I intended to go to the gym then switch the battery on the SX.
Wifey has now decided she's not going to her mum's and will go shopping without the kids. It's 12.30, Mrs K still not dressed and the kids have got all the Christmas decorations out. So I'm trapped in the bed room doing nothing and can't plan anything because I don't know when wifey is going out and for how long when she does.
Work tomorrow looks enticing right now.
Pub anyone?

Sat at soft play drinking tea and searching for a new car. Looks like this afternoon will be trying to slob and building some shelves.

Something that's not trying to kill me would be good....
Found out that mine has been leaking diesel exhaust into the car for quite some time now, and that is probably part of why I've been and am not well.
I've got a guy coming to look at it this week to see of it can be fixed at a reasonable cost. If not, then in looking for a well specced fairly cheap runaround.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Good time to buy and plenty of decent motors about so I'm sure something will turn up. Good luck with repairs though as sounds like your prefered option.
