Those guys are in a different league, you think you're going pretty well and they just breeze past like its a Sunday afternoon. Oh to be that talented....

Not sure about anyone else, but I find it difficult to feel sorry for Brookes after that episode at Mallory a couple of years back and the incident involving Sylvain Guintoli at Donny.

Would the incident in question at Mallory be the one involving a certain Mr Rutter and ending with a few broken ribs and out of the showdown spots coz yeah that was a stupid stupid move. plus his attitude afterwards was awful, the whole "I dont care, I want to win, Screw everyone else" and I remember him havin a falling out with Whitham over the comments he made about it in commentary.

Sounds like it, so much for my "couple of years" - checking on it it was 2009, I remember the track covered in broken bikes on their side and an unrepentant Brookes afterwards.

I had the misfortune to be on track with him at Snetterton earlier that year, his riding was appalling then as well and its one of the few times I've actually needed to report bad riding to the TDO, I wasn't the only person upset that day either, but that's another story.

I'd forgotten that one! I remember being incensed watching that - a ridiculously stupid move, especially at the level they are racing at, tbh I can cope with someone diving up the inside in most places round tracks I know, but not Hall bends.
