I'm buying g another bike and wondered what the deal is with multi bike policies in general

Normally they rank one bike the highest risk and that becomes the lead machine then the second bike is added at a reduced premium than if the two bikes were insured separately.
Not that many companys offer multi bike polices now but still worth shopping around and asking for discounts.

Cheers the new bike will be the highest risk and I want to keep my old duc,I'm insured with Carole Nash and would prefer to stay with them

Give them a ring I'm sure they will sort something out but don't be worried if a little steep they always are when they have you by then short and curlies for mid term adjustments. When it comes to renewal and you shop around multi bike policies are great value,

All of my multi bike policies have been with Carole Nash. From memory I think that Aviva were the best Insurer via CN.

i insured with mce in the end who i think are crap to deal with and unprofessional,I will pay more to go with carole nash next year
