Fair point, well presented!
Distance is usually the issue. Although the NC29 is the best handling bike I've ever ridden, I really don't fancy buzzing up the M50 to the Midlands at 12k RPM for an hour and a half to meet up with you.
The Bandit, on the other hand, may tempt me meet up for a ride out.

One of my mates has a 1200 bandit and I like them always have no frills but plenty of grins

Last time I met you half way, I found P3rky pushing his R6 DUD (quite literally!) to the petrol station. You know, the bike that flashed it's headlights when the front brake was applied

which reminds me my uncle has a 1200 bandit fitted with a pukka sidecar ,he keeps trying to get me to go out with him in it but im to scared :]
