Off to Thorpe Park today. Going to be a nice day for it and haven't been there for a year or 2 now (can't quite remember!) so think it's about time we go there again!

Slobbing out, doing very little, reading the Guy Martin book, eating and some time out on the bike.

Managed to shrug off a hangover and got the boat trailer completely finished. Admin and a glass of wine tonight after dinner.

Lazy day today. Been to a corn maze, then a lazy lunch, an afternoon snooze, paddle in the pool followed by dinner.

Last day of work for a couple of weeks, so having a lazy evening. Just trying to pay some bills online and my bank has decided that for no reason at all they think that paying the same utility bills as last quarter is suddenly a fraud risk, I hate banks sometimes.

Finish night shift in 40 mins then a couple hours and I'll be on the Helo leaving this fookin' platform for 5 weeks!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Well I left the platform and made Darwin. Flew out from Darwin, then the plane I was on had an engine failure after take off so we turned around and landed back in Darwin. So I've just spent and extra 4 hrs there and just on another aircraft to head home. Been awake for 26 hrs and still 6 hours from my bed.kiwikrasher wrote:Finish night shift in 40 mins then a couple hours and I'll be on the Helo leaving this fookin' platform for 5 weeks!

I get that on my credit card almost every time I go to Italy with work. I've only been doing it on a regular basis for the last 15 years!Deegee wrote:Last day of work for a couple of weeks, so having a lazy evening. Managed to get a seat on the red eye and harassed the airline into giving me a room so just managed 3 hrs sleep. Waiting to board again, let's hope this one makes it!kiwikrasher wrote:Well you wouldn't f**king believe it. I'm back in Darwin again!!! We took off, 20 mins in same fault. Re: What are you doing today ??
Tell you what Kiwi you must have a big pair to get back on to another flight after the same fault twice!! Did you get home? I'm guessing you would still be sleeping for a couple of days after not having any sleep for such a long time! That sounds absolutely sh!te and really bad luckkiwikrasher wrote:Managed to get a seat on the red eye and harassed the airline into giving me a room so just managed 3 hrs sleep. Had another 1st interview today, went well I thought, and the guy asked if I would be interested in a second interview at their premises, at the end of our meeting
(yet another one that ran over time ha ha..... I have had confirmation from the other company for a second one later this month... So I hope this positivity in the air continues.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Yeah finally got home Rossgo, 8 am. No sleep on the plane as It was packed and my brain thoughts was still in night shift. Got 2 hrs sleep in the arvo, then with the help of some sleeping tablets slept 9 hrs last night. Looking toward to getting my body clock back. That was by far the worst trip home I've had.
