So excuse the ignorance but what's the advantage of tapping it ? I assume it's to mimic an abs system but if you haven't lost traction I don't see any benefit but I'm sure there is one I'm just too tick to see it

I don't mean constantly tap it. It's more of a tap to 'control' the situation. Better than dragging it as you wouldn't really get the benefits. Also front brake can be too aggressive for what is needed, especially for U Turns or a like. That's exactly how I see it too Blade acts like ABS only controlled by human!

Oh upon further reflection I think the better way to decscribe it is to massage the rear brake as it is a controlling technique and not abruptly used. I personally will also use the rear when approaching a turn and the front starts to pick up the bike so then swap to the rear. I'm pretty sure in my next service I will need new pads throughout they have taken quite a battering recently haha!!

Left the bike at home today. The weather looks awful and although I don't mind riding in the rain the car was too tempting.

Added the zx6r to my current policy for an extra £122, which isn't bad at all considering my current insurers wanted over £250 for TPFT and this is fully comp.

That's what happened when I bought the SX and tried to add it to the zx6r policy. In the end I got a new policy for the SX.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Working on the zx6r. I've had the rear wheel out, fitted the captive spacers, new adjusters and rear axle nut. I forgot I had bought new spacers. Trying to put the wheel back with the old spacers was a real PITA
The old mudguard has been put on. I need to chase the painter about the tank and cowl. He's got the white mudguard for a paint match.
Swapped some more bolts and screws over.
Cleaned and lubed the chain.
I need to take it out for a spin now.

Plug into the wheel so they don't fall out when you take the axle out. It means you don't have to try and hold the spacers in place when you're trying to put the axle back in. They are a blessing.

Watching f1 qualifying on catch up with a glass of wine whilst the missus makes tea and the kids annoy each other instead of me

Took the ninja out for a test ride. It was a short lived one as the brake fluid reservoir developed a leak. Looks like the plastic window has been rotted by the fluid.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Me and my dad ended up doing around 90 mile ride today as we didn't manage to get to Sammy Miller's. Well I did around 15 miles on my bike the rest my dad relieved me of my bike and he did the rest [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]
Bloody dads.
"I can't ride those type of bikes they hurt your wrists
Their dangerous because you have to strain your neck to see where your going
Their too cramped
You don't need all that power
It's too loud
It turns in too quickly
It's too firm
Clutch is too heavy
Throttle is too quick
Their not the sensible choice
You can't use this in towns
Their not comfortable enough"
"Oh ok dad so you don't fancy a go then...'
"I didn't say that!"
Typical!

Chewed the fat with the guys looking after my track bike.
Got the M5's fitted and packed the transit up. I love the buildup to a track day, except the getting up at 5am part
