Metal Cleaners
what do people use/recommend?
I'm giving the kwak a decent clean and want some recommendations for metal parts which have been exposed to the elements.
Some recommended stuff like cillit bang.

Re: Metal Cleaners
Be careful with Solvol because once you have used that once, you will need to keep using it regularly.

Re: Metal Cleaners
Don't use ACF50 anywhere near switches though.
A few riders are reporting that it may gum switch contacts up.

Re: Metal Cleaners
I haven't had a problem, my bike got jet washed in ACF50 a couple of years ago. The only small issue was being very careful for the first few 100 yards or so until the disks and pads had cleaned upduke63 wrote:Don't use ACF50 anywhere near switches though.

Note: The jet wash was part of a professional valeting service by a guy who really knows what he's doing.

Re: Metal Cleaners
I remember you getting that done.
I've bought a big bottle of the stuff. I hope to give the bike a decent coating of it at some point.

Cheers mate, I'll take you up on that.
I'm going to enlist your help anyway, I've got some stuff I want to do to the bike and I've decided you're going to help me. I pay in bacon sarnies and beer.

You can clean the bike when I've taken the plastics off.
