Motobatt Batteries

Looks like I may be needing a new battery for the GPZ and was wondering if anyone had used a Motobatt battery ?

They come ready charged and ready to go mate supposed to be good I'm sure Kwacky will be along in a bit and give you some more info.

I think Ive had mine about four years now , its hardly ever been on the optimate every time it was showing as fully charged within 10 minutes , lives outside in all weathers , its never let me down , I honestly couldn't fault it and would recommend to anyone

Pretty sure this is what me Dad has. Very good battery so far and like others have said comes ready charged :-)

The one on the 748 has been on for three years now and always seems to have plenty of CCA's when the bike is cold.

I've had mine for a few weeks. No problems, fires quickly. Comes ready charged.

I've not left it long enough to see if the charge drops quickly with the alarm.

I have had mine for a year now and have had no problems. Better than any other make I have used.

Well I've had the original battery on the optimate all night and this morning nothing, well, except the horn works which is a bit weird so I thought if check the fuses out and took the main fuse out and it wasn't blown but I did notice that at the bottom of the part of the fuse holder where the lower blade of the fuse enters it appeared melted so put the fuse back in and all the power came back on and the bike turned over so it looks like its the fuse block which may be at fault, oh well it was an old battery anyway, might need to fund one of those now, not sure if I want to risk bringing the bike to Doni now though, just in case

I've have them on three bikes this year. They're da bomb unless you're going top top top of the range race batteries in my view tbh.

Any other observations on these Motobatts ??

Theyre only £10 more than the Yuasa I'm going to need to replace and by the sounds of things, they sound a little sturdier

They are a lot sturdier than a yuasa ,mine bike used to be a pig to start but cranks over well now

Mine only turned up today, 9 days to come from Rochdale not even 20 miles away, anyway put it on the bike up and it fired up fine, looking forward to seeing how it performs now, may well get one for the Z650 eventually once I can boost the electrics a bit.

Still need to keep it charged up though gents as I've had them on four bikes now. They're brilliant for cranking twins with the extra initial kick in.
