Re: Slappers Go East Sunday 12th July

Typical 675.cc ride out
"I'm just leaving the house to go for a ride around (place you've never heard of) so who is joining me?
Or
"I'm going to the coast 150 miles away at 3pm tomorrow (Wednesday) , who is coming?"
Aceman asks for the postcode then replies it's too far away

Re: Slappers Go East Sunday 12th July
Fingers crossed, otherwise it could be the loneliest Tankslap rideout I've ever done!
We've decided to head over Rutland way. I used to live there and there were some cracking roads. Hopefully they haven't deteriorated too badly since I was last there, and hopefully neither has my memory so I can remember my way around!!!
I came up with this route, it's not perfect, especially having to do a 15-20 minute punt along the A14 but it's the quickest way I can see to get to our playground.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Shell ... 7a!1m0!3e0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It also doesn't meet up with the starting point as originally intended, I ran out of checkpoints and the missus was badgering me to do something so that's as good a plan as you'll get!
Some roads are okay, some are brilliant, some I can't remember but the route isn't set in stone. We can stick to it until we get lost and listen to my feeble excuses about not having ridden here in 6 years! Then turn around and try again!
Likewise if there's a nice stretch of road, feel free to u-turn and do it again.
I'd better make an effort to wash the bike now!

I'm afraid I wont be able to make it this weekend.
Too much 'real life' shit going on at the moment.

Have a good ride guys.
Itchy hope you factored in some good cake stops or the boss won't be happy
Have fun and stay safe chaps, and don't forget some photos

I can't remember the cake places, but I'm not worried. Kwacky's finely tuned cake sensing ability will surely save the day!

Re: Slappers Go East Sunday 12th July
Weather forecast isn't looking awful at the moment, a couple of light showers in the morning before we get there and maybe one at lunchtime but shouldn't be of Biblical proportions!
Temperatures look ok so I'm not worried as yet.
