Re: Sunday 17th May - Wales Ride out
Thanks fella I have really gelled with it.it feels really planted and going fast is easy with it feeling raw enough to make it exciting. The mods I've done have just made it better for me. I got zero wrist ache the quick shifter is sublime. I can not praise the tyres enough they were sticky hot when I got to the cafe at cross gates and feel so planted. I would like a taller screen if anyone knows we're I can get a TT fat boy screen from please let me know but I think I'm in love.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Re: Sunday 17th May - Wales Ride out
I have to admit i was really aching when i got home ,my bum was sore from the seat and my right wrist was also aching
Even with its lower gearing you definitely need to wind up the ten to get it buzzing at high revs then it really gets moving
I had fun on it on some of those long lefthanders

Yes totally agree Perkles, the ten is not a particularly comfortable bike but I guess it wasn't high on the design brief in all fairness. Saying that though my Blade was much more comfortable. I think the seat on the Blade was wider which gave more support where as the tens seat is narrow I guess to aid moving around on the bike in the twisites.
Glad you enjoying it and real shame we all got split up. Your bike looked amazing. I think you have the best colour scheme on any ten.

My legs and knees ached but I can at least stretch them out and move a round when my wrist hurts there's no getting round it so I'm really pleased that was not the case.Perkles wrote:I have to admit i was really aching when i got home ,my bum was sore from the seat and my right wrist was also aching

The zx is a gorgeous bike and riding with blade Its dam quick. I love the dash the coloured bar looks awesome and I'm guessing easy to read at a glance. I hardly looked at the dash on the gsxr usually to figure out what gear I was in or to make sure I did the speed limit through the slower zones. You say the zx is revey but I don't think the gsxr is that different. I was in 2nd and 3rd mostly with the odd change to 4th when rolling off or taking it steady. I think is just the way sports bikes are at the moment with emissions and more racing orientation the power is all up the top you even have to rev the new dukes to get them to go

Yes the arrow sounds good but is on the acceptable level of sporty IMO. Some can are just too loud IMO.

Re: Sunday 17th May - Wales Ride out
Your sounds good Jon without being mentally loud. I did enjoy listening to it yesterday
.
I think the base levels or noise frequency are very different with a twin as they sound loud without being annoying loud. Aprilla and Ducati road bikes are a prime example, they sound loud but still pass noise tests. I think it's the type of noise on these kind of bikes rather than the actual dB level.

Not sure what time we waited around and had a coffee at that petrol station then they came and said hello. They asked if we were with a guy on a zx wearing bks leathers i said yeah did he straight on at the round about YES Then we set off to abba.
They were the same lads that were there in the morning wearing the white jumpers

Re: Sunday 17th May - Wales Ride out
Sliced the fleshy bit on the top of his left knee cap .... I can post a piccie but it aint pretty
He's riding to the IOM as well and the position of the gash (horizontal) will keep opening up when on the bike with the knee bent
