I love sports bikes but this would definitely be on my wish list as an addition to a sportsbike.

Hp2 is special but I read some where it needs a fully rebuild at 30k.
@frankie. I reckon when my lads are a little bigger and of a suitable age to ride pillion you could sell me an R nine T. Awesome motorcycle IMO.

Lightweight and Naked I think. Street triple, mt07 that sort of ilk. Though when I test them I might end up with another sportsbike

Suggestions for the list welcome

For hooning on lanes Frankie's s1000r would be a good test ride.

KTM 690 smc
Back lanes will never be the same again. Just think wheelies, drifting and powering out of every corner with the biggest grin ever painted on your boat race

I tried a 690 Duke last year on some twisty lanes and found it a little lacking in the power department.

Was it the hardcore smc Nutz ?D6Nutz wrote:I tried a 690 Duke last year on some twisty lanes and found it a little lacking in the power department.
Not enough power is easily fixed, just find tighter twister lanes

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Lack of power is my fear as I loved the duke when I tested it but it may struggle out of the twisties. The lightweight nature and loading up the front into corners was great, difficulty is the more powerful bikes tend to lose that fearless cornering feel.
Smc is a great bike, maybe too motard? Not sure. Z800 should be tested I think. If it felt light enough the s1000r would be mega but french power limits might blunt it somewhat, though those limits are being removed sometime soon I think.
Only test rides will confirm. I need to make some time to do so.

Not heard a bad thing said about the latest MT-09. Doesn't look that great on paper especially the suspension, but I know of about 5 people that have either bought one or tested one and they absolutely rave about them.

Having done as much work as I can myself, I left these two mods to the professionals, a full Bazzaz ZF TCi kit, KTech fork cartridges, he also fettled a few electrical gremlins whilst he had it.Blade wrote:JHS Racing have a very good reputation.
